She's working for ESPN for the World Cup as part of the welcoming committee at the airport. Macca & Gullit are gonna be commentators/analysts for ESPN covering the World Cup - is that so hard to believe?
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Macca was sheer class. By **** we had an exciting team back in the mid 90's and he was at the heart of it - Macca, Redknapp, Berger, Barnes, Fowler, Collymore...if we had a solid back line we'd have won a League or two.

Some of the goals he made for Fowler and co were stunning. Dont see anyone like that nowadays in the team. Benayoun comes close but still isnt as good.

Does this mean that ESPN's American coverage is going to be good this year? Usually, I just watch the Spanish language broadcasts even though I know barely a lick of Spanish. They can make even the dullest match seem exciting.

I like how you say she knows nothing about football, but works for ESPN over the World Cup. Sums American coverage up. Not slating your mum.

Macca was class. I always remember his little drag back, during the Euros, as he calmly watched an opposition defender slide past him.

Eh? He said she works as hospitality for them, knowledge about football wouldn't exactly be a huge part of the job! Her job would be to look after ESPN's guests, its got nothing to do with their coverage!

Is that all you can manage to say when someone is quite blatantly slating your mum?
                    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

at the risk of being contrary

wasnt he a bit of a nearly man? great skill but ran down blind alleys too much not enough goals etc?

also ran his contract down and left for a free

i dont remember him in his last two years being seen as positivly as he is on this thread.

i thought he was a good player but never really showed his true potential for us and at madrid was a different player but always comes accross as a sensible bloke on tv.
