    The Rafa thread

So it's official, he's Inter boss.

We've had Fowler Watch, Sami Watch...two legends, but I expect this thread to prove more popular than either of those.

    Good luck Rafa

          YNWA Rafa.

I hope the Inter players show him faith because if he can keep most of that squad together there is no reason (Barca aside ) why he cannot win the lot next season.

Ex-Liverpool FC manager Rafa Benitez donates £96,000 to Hillsborough Family Support Group

Jun 10 2010 by Laura Jones, Liverpool Echo

THE ECHO can exclusively reveal that Rafa Benitez today donated £96,000 to the Hillsborough Family Support Group as he gets set to leave Merseyside.

The former Liverpool FC boss, who was today confirmed as the new manager at Inter Milan, handed over the cheque to Margaret Aspinall, chairwoman of the HFSG, as the rest of the committee watched on this afternoon.

In a low key visit to the group's office, Benitez wished the group well and told them he hoped they would get the justice and the truth they are campaigning for.

Mrs Aspinall said: "It was just nice to know that he wanted to see us before he went."

I am a Liverpool fan. But since Rafa has been treated so badly by our owners, I told Rafa I would buy the shirt of his new team. Inter fans should be very happy. He is the new Herrera!

He is honourable and the best tactitian in the world.

You are lucky to have him

Hello Inter fans, and congratulations on your European triumph

I was just flicking through google looking for any information on our departed manager Rafa when I stumbled accross this site, having read through this thread I can completely understand some of your fears regarding Rafa, however I can assure you all that Rafa is a master tactician and an absolute gentleman with it.

With the backing of the board and of course the fans you will continue to dominate both in Italy and in Europe.

I'm absolutely devastated by his departure, and I'm fearfull of what might come next for us

As Liverpool fans we are very proud of our club, it's history, past glories, players, managers and staff. But I for one (I can't speak for every LFC fan on this) had become almost embarassed by our previous success as the years of mediocrity dragged on and on, I sometimes felt like I wished we hadn't been so successful in the past sometimes But Rafa came in and turned all of that on it's head, finally we could compete in Europe once again, finally we could go to Old Trafford and not only play well, not only win, but absolutely destroy our arch rivals. We could go to Barcelona with no fear and win, we could welcome Real Madrid and show THEM how to play football, and I'm sure you all enjoyed almost as much as we did our 3-0 turnaround against AC in '05.

I'm very concerned about my club, not only have we lost the man that made us a feared opponent in Europe once again, we have serious doubts over our financial future

Rafa won't let you down, he'll bring your club more success and even more respect, and most of all he'll fight to the end for your club and most of all you as fans.

                              Good luck Inter and Rafa.
