    Vuvuzela depreciation thread.

Two days in and I'm already sick of the constant 90 minute flies round **** sound.

It's affecting my enjoyment of it and with a few average games so far is it affecting the players and the success of this world cup?

Watching the first match I was 8 pints Heineken and a quarter of bottle of Rum in.

I wasn't quite sure it it was the TV or inside my head. A bit of a masher.

I refer the honourable gentleman to my posts on the other thread back in May.

I agree it has ruined the athmosphere of games, ****ing ****e horns.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

By *******s do you mean the apps or the people using 'em?

Is **** - it doesn't add to the atmosphere, it kills it. There's no change in volume at exciting spells of play, its just this one ****ing constant drone. They should be banned.

                      Pretty used to it now.

I remember in the 80s, whenever you watched a game out in Spain, these horns were constantly blown throughout the match and added an 'exotic' type of atmosphere. They werent vuvuzelas, but the vuvuzelas during this world cup are sounding similar to that.

I dont mind them at all now.

I think turning the sound off is the answer, eliminates the ****e commentary too.

I don't mind the sound up so long as nothing specific is audible. A general hum and some unintelligible voices (doubtless talking inanities and clichés) muffle each other nicely while you still get a bit of atmosphere.
                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

They are fine with me, I don't even notice them. Plus the commentators talk absolute ****e most of the time so i prefer the horns

I don't like them. It's the constant drone, sounds weary and kills the atmosphere when watching on TV. Maybe it's ok in the ground?
