That's the sense i got when i spent time in Germany too, albeit over 10 years ago.

But they certainly dont hate the english and dont see them particularly as rivals. The ones Germans really hate, are the dutch.

It's ironic that the english hate the germans largely down to the whole 'war enemies' issue, whilst the germans hate the italians, who were allies of their's during that very same conflict.

Just having an argument with my missus FFS. Walked off and come inside to sound off on here. She went out for BBQ stuff earlier and beer etc. She got all that but she's also come back with an England flag.
