England have got a better team overall. I think England will win in 90 minutes, got a feeling Rooney is going to score a couple
Also everyone going on about penalties. So What? Even if it did England have got a solid bunch of penalty takers this time round.
Gerrard, Lampard, Defoe, Milner, Rooney, Barry
Those guys are all more than capable so if it went to pens it would be Germany who should worry

I agree, but it's never really been about technical abilities with england and penos, it's all in the mind and as soon as that final whistle goes after extra time, all england fans/players are thinking "oh ****, its pens!" while the germans are no doubt thinking "right, penalties. Excellent".
That's the difference for me.

I actually think both teams are pretty much equal in overall quality, but England punish themselves by prioritising Lampard in CM over Gerrard. I think Germany have a better bench.Originally posted by -V- View PostEngland have got a better team overall. I think England will win in 90 minutes, got a feeling Rooney is going to score a couple

Were the germans playing mind games?I heard something about them sending out the goalkeeping coach instead of the manager for a press conference.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI agree, but it's never really been about technical abilities with england and penos, it's all in the mind and as soon as that final whistle goes after extra time, all england fans/players are thinking "oh ****, its pens!" while the germans are no doubt thinking "right, penalties. Sorry, I don't follow - what was the basis of your "complaint?"Originally posted by Shaggy View Post

I really didn't but I complained vigorously
.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

They did for one, but they spoke to the press on Friday too. The FA however refused to allow any foreign journalists speak to England a lot of them are seriously pissed off about that.Originally posted by IN_RAFA_WE_TRUST View PostWere the germans playing mind games?I heard something about them sending out the goalkeeping coach instead of the manager for a press conference.

Ah, I see. I can understand your point of view.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI don't want a ****ing huge England flag in my house. It's currently flying inside the gazebo in the garden.
A gazebo, eh? How very middle-aged..

Actually I think I may have drawn Gazebo in the sweep..
