He didn't have to do that, he should have just sat on his backside, resigned like most keepers do when they've just been obviously beaten.

But the officials didnt signal for a goal So the game carried on - he wasnt just gonna sit there and let someone come in and tap the ball into the empty net from 3 yards

But it was a blatant goal, as blatant as a rocket blasted into the roof of the net. He should've sat on his backside looking all disappointed like beaten keepers do.

Next season, when DJ Campbell waltzes round our mid-table defence and slots one past Pepe to put Blackpool 3-0 up, I expect Reina to fetch it out of the net as fast as he can, pick the ball up and act all innocent and then kick it out of his hands down the other end of the pitch.

How did he cheat though?? All he did was play to the whistle. He had no direct act in stopping the goal being given. The linesman and ref didn't give it. He did what anyone else would do IMO.

...which is the same thing as cheating in my book. Like in cricket, a batsman who doesn't walk when he knows he's out is a cheat. He's cheating the umpire, cheating the other team. Same as Neuer. Cheat.

if a ball went out for a throw in and the ref gave the wrong decision and the player knew it was wrong but didnt say anything, would he be a cheat or playing unsportinly
