Nahhh, it's all down to the ball imo, adidas have put a sensor in it that detects the German gene, then the ball responds better for them by way of a built in air valve, that inflates or deflates the ball slightly to make it easier for Germans to play with.

Honest....it's a conspiracy.

And obviously....the ball can detect other genes too, so you can imagine how it would be programmed to react when detecting the English gene. and it did.
