Messi And Ronaldo are in a league of their own.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostThey're very good players, of course. But they're not at the level of Messi, Ronaldo etc.
As a collective though, they're a fantastic team unit. Superb.
The likes of Ozil will be up there in the same class as Lampard and Gerrard if not now then soon enough.

That's the point i was making, the germans dont have any 'world class superstars', but as an overall team unit, they overcome the odds and are simply brilliant.Originally posted by IN_RAFA_WE_TRUST View PostMessi And Ronaldo are in a league of their own.

In terms of worldwide notoriety and fame, Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka, Gerrard, Torres, Rooney etc are the 'stars' and Germany dont have anyone like that.
But look at them. They're a sensational unit.

I really really really really really dont rate Elano. Utter ****e.Originally posted by Fernandinho View Postim going back a few games now but does anyone wonder if Elano would have had a big impact on the result of the dutch game? he seems to offer stability for brazil and was getting goals to add to that and alves was **** vs the dutch...

This is going to sound very silly considering they've put 8 past 2 decent sides, but Germany have been lucky.
They are great at defending and counter attacking. In fact they have been brilliant at it. However, in both games they have scored very soft very early goals which has enabled them to play to their strengths to great effect. Without such a break today, who know what the score would have been. Looking to the Semi final, it's almost going to be a case of whoever scores first wins for me.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

They've been a sensational counter attacking team against teams looking for an equaliser. I still have no idea they would actually be if they conceded first.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostThat's the point i was making, the germans dont have any 'world class superstars', but as an overall team unit, they overcome the odds and are simply brilliant.
