Superb, thoroughly enjoyed that. The clueless commentators weren't half talking endless **** with all their criticism of Spain and ludicrous assertions that Germany were the more dangerous side. That was exhibition stuff at times and the goal was just a matter of time. Xabi was imperious, I just love watching them pass the ball around for fun.
I'm flying to Spain on Friday and will be in the local village bar in Arroyomolinos in Extremadura for the final. Cannot wait. The village is absolutely buzzing tonight, just had them on the phone. Sounds like a carnival. Bring it on.

I can't agree Shaggy, I thought it was a lot of aimless passing that forces their opposition to sit back. Really dull game for the most part nearly every chance being a shot from outside the box.
Also it has ruined my chances of getting laid tonight, the cunts.
Also I have found Spain and Holland to be two of the dullest teams to watch so far.Last edited by Mattshark; 07-07-10, 09:55 PM.

I never find watching Spain dull. You only thought so cos all Germany did was chase the ball.
After 15 minutes Germany had barely had a kick, in fact I think two of their players hadn't touched the ball at all. I don't know how the stats ended up but on the hour mark the stats were 11 Spain shots to Germany's 2, and the pressure intensified after that. Should've been at least two or three by the end with Villa's near miss and Pedro's hogtastic moment. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Absolutely. Spain played an almost perfect game, everyone knows how good the Germans are, especially on the counter and the Spanish nullified that threat almost completely.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostSuperb, thoroughly enjoyed that. Yeah but Spain had done pretty much nothing with it at the point either.Originally posted by Shaggy View Post

All those shots were pretty all Alonso from outside the box.
Well that is always going to happen when a side is chasing a game. Spain really are nothing like they were to watch 2 years ago imo, they slow the game down so much and have shown little (outside of Villa) of the flair they have previously shown. Much more grinding than anything else.

Spanish pundit Guillem Balague on BBC Radio 5 Live:
"Three years ago we decided to keep the ball and since then nobody has taken it off us. We cannot compete physically with the rest so we keep the ball. All my life I've hoped for a moment like this."

I agree they were better under the racist fella but they've been slightly hamstrung by having their best striker unfit and Iniesta coming off an injury and not at his best. They're the best team in the world by a distance and they thoroughly deserve to win the tournament. Germany couldn't get close to them tonight. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
