If Holland win my 100% betting record on the world cup is complete

In 2002 I bet £50 on Senegal to beat France in the opener. Epic win

In 2006 I best £25 each way on France. Epic win

In 2010 I bet £25 on Holland to win. Close to epic win!

Octopussy says Germany and Spain to win.
So that's an Epic Fail right?

Scratch that...Mani, Singapore's World Cup-forecasting parakeet, has tipped Holland to win their first World Cup on Sunday!

I reckon that the bookmaker should pay me immediately!

I reckon Mani and Paul should fight this one out, should make for an interesting viewing.

No losses, he's only placed those 3 bets in the last 8 years

So someone who'd never gambled before in their whole life, decided, for his first EVER bet, to back Senegal to beat world champions France, at relatively huge odds, with a £50 stake. Because he is not a 'mug'.

                        Completely plausible, mate.

Never betted before. It just seemed to me that 8/1 in a two horse race (France in decline and Senegal much better than people thought) was a rather good bet. And so it proved

So someone who's never had a bet before in their life, stakes £50 on their first bet.

And then, having won it, they dont bet again for a whole 4 years, despite there being many many examples of prices like 8/1 and bigger available in a 'two horse race' football matches between 2002 and 2006. And then, having won again in only his second ever bet, that person again chooses not to bet again for whole 4 more years. Upon which he bets on the highly unfancied Dutch.

                              As i said, entirely plausible

Oh - and just so you know mate, a football match isnt a two horse race. There are 3 potential outcomes, not two.
