    Harry 'deluded' Redknapp

Meanwhile, Redknapp believes Tottenham could win the Premier League this season.
The 63-year-old helped Spurs to their highest Premier League finish last season, with fourth spot also guaranteeing the club a place in the Champions League.
"I feel we could contend for the title; we have got the players here," added Redknapp.
"We have to aim for it. We could win the championship.
"Last year, we went in saying we wanted to finish in the top four and if you don't aim for things, you have no chance."

He also said about the signing of Joe Cole that he didn't blame him for going to LFC and that he didn't go for financial reasons and that the Kop in full voice is the greatest experience in the whole football world.

I'll allow him a little bit of positivity.

Tbh I think Raul is possibility for them and a good signing. I know how much he cares about his Champions League goals record and he obv isn't going to get games at Madrid so moving to spurs would be good for him. He's still a quality poacher and his experience will help them.

Also you can't really blame him for aiming high, even if he does come across as a little crazy. Their fans won't exactly be thrilled to hear that they just want to hold 4th place and thats all

"What a fantastic signing Roy has made,” Redknapp told The ****rag.

"Joe Cole on a free transfer is worth every penny.

"Were he under contract you would be looking at a £10 million transfer fee just for starters.

"The Liverpool fans are going to love him. There has only ever been one King of the Kop and that was Kenny Dalglish, not even Kevin Keegan was good enough in his prime to take that away from him.

"It's obviously up to Roy where he plays him but you could see Joe playing just off the frontman the way Kenny used to.

"Joe wants to be involved, he doesn't want to be left to drift out on the wing any more.”

Redknapp acknowledged that Spurs did their best to sign Cole this summer, but could not complete with a historic club like Liverpool.

"We tried our very hardest to get him. The chairman made Joe a fantastic offer.

"But, in the end, we were competing with a club that has years and years of tradition and a reputation as one of the biggest clubs in the world.

"I got a lovely message from Joe to inform me of his decision.

"He explained it. I think he wants to move for football reasons. He wants to be part of a transformation at Liverpool. I think maybe getting away from London and a clean break was part of it too. Whatever his reasons he has been genuine the whole way through. Joe is a bit of a throw-back, if you like.

"He has class and his manners are impeccable. I will always see him as the 11-year-old boy I first clapped eyes on at West Ham and I can only wish him all the best and hope his move is successful."

I agree V. I actually didn't like Lucas' comments that before they were expected to win the league but Roy has told them to just take it as it comes, I know he is saying this to release some pressure but I think every Liverpool player should know that we expect to win the league regardless of how realistic that might be.

Im actually starting to like Redknapp. I used to think he was a complete arsehole but he seems alrite. Fair play to him if he can convince Raul to leave Madrid and move to spurs. He's a Madrid legend ffs.

All Redknapp is doing is trying to excite the fans and he did say they need 3 players before they can compete

I know that wasn't meant as a backhanded compliment but...

I don't mind Harry at all.

Redknapp is playing himself into the manager's job at LFC. I expect him to take over from Uncle Woy.

That's because Keegan was here before the King, Old 'Arry should get his fact right

Talk about posters jumping to conclusions.

Harry Redknapp also said that in order to push on he would need at least THREE new signings that in his words "would make the difference". He said he thought the same last year.

I think Redknapp is exactly right in saying that Spurs have a strong squad with plenty of quality, but in order to progress, would need three top class players coming in. And there is no problem with him being bullish if he gets those players in.
                              Forwards.......
