If I'm being brutally honest, I'd be supprised if we managed to break into the top four two seasons on the trot, regardless if we have champs league games to play.

I just hope this foray with the big boys is a memorable one.

Maybe, could also mean the release of funds for arry this easy ( playing against children) draw.

Get a shot at the Europa League though if knocked out.

Aye, but they'd be more likely to field a weaker side if they're in the Europa.

The CL will take its toll on them - i've had this debate before and fans of clubs who havent yet been in the CL, often just dont realise the sheer extent of how difficult it can be to compete in the CL without it having a major impact on your league fortunes.

I'm not concerned with Spurs either way.

while it would be rather funny to see them get knocked out by some young boys. seeing them struggle in the first round would be better and ig they fiinhs 3rd in that group they will still get into europa anyway

And you have won this debate sumhow i just cant see Spurs goin to the San Siro and winning or the Nou Camp and winning. Goin on Spurs previous record in Europe lately (non excistant last season) i reckon they could be seeded third out of the four pots. You would certainly think so.

Not feeling the love in this room... No such "Good luck to you, on your deserved shot at the champions league" here. Shame, I always support Liverpool in Europe.

                        You guys are dicks!

That's because you're a small club with little or no european ambition

The further you go, the worse for us. Group stages i'm happy with but after that, i want you out.

I'm certainly not getting into a debate of us being a little club ::desperately bites lip::

I don't think you can say we have no ambition, surely being there show's our ambition? May I enquire as to why the further we go, the worse it gets for you?

I've always felt Spurs wil have problems in Europe this season, i think they'll find it difficult to go past Young Boys..maybe they'll underestimate them a bit aswell, reading some posts even on here, that just might be the case.

I've not problem with Spurs, before 'Arry came in that is, but i just feel they'll be a bit out of their depth in the Champions League.

The further you go, the more money you earn out of it, the more competitive it can make you. We dont need that when your financial status is already strong enough to blitz us in the transfer market.

As for the bit about ambition - i was referring to you saying you always supported LFC in the CL - it would've been partly because your own side hadnt ever been in it before, so would've never had any CL ambitions of their own, so you got behind someone else who WAS in it. If that makes sense.

I have no beef with Spurs at all, but we're in direct competition for a top four place, so obviously good fortunes for Spurs equates to things being more difficult for us. I'd say the same if it was Villa in the CL too. I'm not 'anti' Spurs or anything. Although some of the Spurs fans i know turned into complete dickheads last season, with just a slight sniff of success, and that kind of thing never goes down well.
