    The Two Escobars

Just watch a fantastic documentary About How football in Columbia in the 1990's was corrupted by drug money. It concentrates on the lives and deaths of both Pablo Escobar and Andrea's Escobar.

I would suggest you all download it and give it a watch.

The national team was funded by Escobar at the time.
A lot of the players were from or playing in the MedellĂn area,Pablo Escobar played with alot them at his home pitches. He funded alot of pitches roads and hospitals in the area, he did alot for the poor of the area and it why he was able to hide among them for so long.

          Yep agree.

It gives a good in site into the mess Columbia fell into after "The Boss" was killed. Things happened in the underworld that would not have been allowed under Pablo such as kidnappings which he prohibited and the killing of Andrea's Escobar was one of those things.

Going by the film If Pablo Escobar had been alive during the world cup i don't think the players would have been threatened as like was said he was friends with a lot of those players and watched them grow up on the pitches he bought the poor communities.

Shows him for caring for the poor by building schools, homes and helping them, However it also shows how much of a cold blooded killer he was by showing how far he would go not to be sent to the US. He waged war on the government by bombing and killing not only politicians but also the innocent he proclaimed to love.

He was the people's Hero if you will.
