He'd be an excellent back up option to Torres and I'd be very comfortable starting him next to Torres in some games. He offers something different, very strong physically, great with his back to the goal, holds the ball up well, good in the air, got pace and is a decent finisher. Not good enough to be our first choice, but you won't find better 2nd options.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostReally, Cole's records reads almost exactly like Heskey's. He is overrated because he is English and West Ham really is his level.

He has 26 league goals in 105 gamesOriginally posted by JohnDoe View PostHe scores a goal every 2.5 games in a poor side. That's not bad for a target man.
Prior to that, 4 in 25 for Chelsea, 1 in 7 for Wolves, 4 in 21 for Charlton and 3 in 27 for Villa.
His overall career record is 48 in 213, his West Ham record is 31 in 122, both of which translate to 1 in 4, where the hell did you get a goal every 2.5 games from!Last edited by Mattshark; 14-08-10, 04:33 PM.

Can't beat a bit of mid afternoon misanthropy.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostSupermarkets on a saturday, are ****ing horrible places.
God, how i hate the general public.
You should follow my mates example. He does his weekly shop at 8am every Saturday morning so he doesn't have to face the unwashed masses.A humble guy with healthy desire.

**** that ****. 8am on a Saturday, i'm either about to leave for Anfield, or i'm tucked up in bed and enjoying a slumber. 8am indeed
My preferred time is early hours, something like 1am or 2am on a morning when i dont have work to come.

You could also try the 'Mark Corrigan' option - shopping on Friday night when everyone else is out enjoying themselves.A humble guy with healthy desire.
