Rafa setting the team up to be in the best possible shape the second half of season is one reason. Another one is that they are getting back the injured players.

Rafa made a mistake IMO that trained the team so hard straight after a very long season. Mourinho left the squad in bad shape something Rafa should have checked up much better. They dropped a 15 point lead in the league and only won it thanks to that Roma dropped points with one game left to play. They were already then in bad shape. Add playing in the world cup and it didn't made the situation any better.

It wasn't exactly like Mourinho needed to care about Inter this season. If he left the squad in bad shape then it wasn't his problem. He couldn't care less about Inter this season. His job was to win as much as he could last season knowing at the same time that he would be off after the season.

And another is that they now have a manager who, for whatever reason, is proving far more capable of getting Inter consistently winning matches, than rafa did. Simples.

I have to say i'm getting rather tired of the Arn bashing on this forum. We all know he loves Rafa but not everything he says is pro Rafa or originates from a pro Rafa agenda. The amount of abuse he gets is tiresome, by all means disagree with him but the belittling and personal abuse he gets is uncalled for. He never retorts and to me that shows him in some ways to be the better man.

Inter were playing brilliantly at the start of the season and banging in the goals. Their diabolical injury crisis certainly contributed to the poor results in November/December and Rafa has to take some of the responsibility for that by over training them which perhaps he shouldnt have after last years exploits, a World Cup and the ageing squad he inherited. We're all aware that Rafa does train his teams to be fitter and peak in the latter half of the season.

However, Rafa certainly cant be credited with Inter's resurgence. Leonardo is responsible for that, whether Rafa would have done so well we will never know because he engineered his sacking and never gave himself the chance.

Football is a game of opinions - can't we just let people have different ones without resorting to name calling and use of the mentalist smiley? Of course vociferously debate the issues and rib each other but I just feel the ribbing has escalated quite a bit recently.

Of course the mentalist smiley is meant to be used and is one of my favourites but it's all about context. Putting it in response to suggesting we sign Chris Samba, for example, is fine but putting it after seemingly seriously questioning someone's mental state is another matter entirely.

The abuse is not so much in this thread but sometimes i think, as a collective, we just have to accept that people have differing opinions and whether or not we think they're totally wrong there's no need to resort to the kind of stick Arn gets. The man's Rafa love is way OTT IMO but i can see where it comes from and even I (as a big Rafa fan) get a little irked by his tunnel vision when it comes to Rafa.

In terms of him retorting i've not seen too much tbh but if i got the amount of stick he gets i'd have been banned years ago.

Everyone know how Rafa train the squad. Of course he don't set them up to play **** at the start of the season. He set the team up to last the season and be in better shape the second half of the season. It is the way he do things.

If you get that to being pro Rafa then you are indeed an idiot.

I read that thread and he got dog's abuse all the way through when IMO he was making a valid point whether i, or anyone else, agreed with it was what should have been up for debate. In fact that thread was (i think as i cant be arsed to double check) the one which informed my post or at least made me think it was worth posting.

I knew you'd trawl to evidence your post too.....btw im not getting at you alone as normally you're pretty friendly in your banter with Arn but ive noticed an escalation lately and more people joining in but without the friendliness of your piss taking if you understand me?

Anyway i think you get the general point i was trying to make without going into the minutia of every word of my original post or trawling threads to try and prove your point/win the argument.

The point i was making is relevant to abuse other posters get too, even if the piss taking is more understandable

I've been guilty of it myself a few times too, so don't think im trying to make myself out as some kind of forum saint because im not. I just think sometimes the piss taking overspills into something a little more sinister, perhaps even bullying, and i think the site would be better off without it.
