Madrid seriously need a powerful striker. Benzema could've been it, but he's flopped badly. Higuain's good but lightweight.
I never thought someone as pragmatic as Mourinho would play Marcelo at left back. He might call himself one but he's ****ing wank defensively, a liability - to me he's more of a wing-back/winger.

Ramos hasn't played CB for a good while and IMO is miles better rampaging up and down the right. Surprised by that team...perhaps after such a **** result Jose will learn.

Part of me wants to see Madrid **** up, just to see how Mourinho dresses it up.

I see, maybe i'll know more about him in the coming months then

Madrid looked a little unbalanced tonight i thought.

Even 'The Special One' has his work cut out to wrestle the title from Barca.(who look unstoppable even after the first game)

Sergio Canales really stood out at Racing Santander, who Madrid signed him from and then loaned back to for a year, last season.

Ramos played at centre back because Albiol, Pepe and Garay are all injured.
              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

That sounds about right about Kaka. I am suprised canales started instead of Ozil but, I guess with Di Maria they needed a right sided player (im assuming Canales started on ther right) and Ozil prefers through the middle or the left...

He is always injured or getting over an injury, hope he gets fit proper this time.

You guys are really badly underestimating a very good Mallorca team. They finished 5th, almost beat Sevilla to 4th last season. They have very solid players that have an understanding, even though their coach has changed they should still be competitive and with considering their financial dilemma they have done fantastically well to add quality players like Cavenaghi and de Guzman. I'll let you know now that not many teams will travel to Mallorca and take full points.

I think anyone who watched La Liga last year knows what a decent side they are - I remember the last game when they watched the Sevilla game on the big screen.

Anyway, please do not interrupt our Jose bashing. Every opportunity will be pounced upon.

Haha, sure bud, there'll be plenty more time for that, I'm waiting for them to lose before I pop out the champagne.

Back onto Mallorca considering they lost Aduriz to Valencia whom is one hell of a player (scored a cracking header on the weekend, talk about power!) they've done really well to get Cavenaghi on a loan, that's a great snatch.
