He isnt 'such a bad player' at all, he's actually very good. His problem is that he's been built up by some people (including himself ) to be in the same league as the likes of Messi, and he clearly isnt that. The stupid fees paid for him havent really helped keep his feet on the ground either, as he's quite an ego. However, despite a few shortcomings in attitude and when it comes to turning up for big games, he's a class act and while he's not in the same bracket as Torres or Drogba, he scores a hatfull of goals season in, season out.

His tally for the past few seasons:

    21 in 41
    29 in 46
    22 in 34

Guaranteed goals is a very valuable commodity in football and this fella offers it.

And he does bring assists to the table as well with 11 last year in all competitions, but like you say it's his ego and a money crazy manager that will always present a problem. The CL continues to elude him though.

Unfortunately we are a few years too late. Too slow, too old now. He will get destroyed in a high pace tough league like the EPL

ROME (AFP) - Zlatan Ibrahimovic again pointed the finger at Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola to explain his premature exit from the Catalan giants.

The 28-year-old signed for AC Milan over the weekend on an initial one-year loan with a pre-arranged 24-million-euro permanent deal arranged for the end of the season.

He had spent just one year in Spain following a 50-million-euro plus Samuel Eto'o switch from Inter Milan.

And the big Sweden forward said there was just one man to blame.

"I only had problems with one person (Guardiola). I got on great with my team-mates and I want to take this opportunity to say that I had a great relationship with both the club and the fans," he told Monday's La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Ibrahimovic, who was due to undergo a medical on Monday, said it was like returning home as he comes back to the country where he spent five years with Milan's arch rivals Juventus and Inter.

"You live well in Barcelona but after Sweden, Italy is my adopted country," he added.

"In five years in Italy, myself and my family felt at home."

Now though comes the real business of trying to propel Milan back to the Serie A summit and end Inter's five-year domination of the scudetto.

"I've come back to Italy to win as much as possible and score even more goals than in the past," said the Serie A top goalscorer from 2008/09.

"I feel incredibly excited and my strength is that I always look for new goals.

"In the next four years (the length of Ibra's contract) this team can win everything."

"With Dinho (Ronaldinho) and Pato we're amongst the best (attacks) in Europe, and let's not forget (Marco) Borriello and (Filippo) Inzaghi."

That'll be his one good game in ten, then.

He's obviously a brilliant footballer but you wonder if he gives a **** now. Looks totally out of shape and disinterested.
