At first, i couldnt tell if the ref had given it or not. In fact, i'm not sure of the rules for this kind of thing in a penalty shootout - does that goal count or not? Surely if the ball goes in, and the taker has only had one legitimate shot at goal, then it's a goal

in terms of the laws of the game its just like getting your hands to it but it still goes into the net.

i dont think the ball ever stopped so was technically still as a result of the penalty kick?

only when the ball has crossed the line or stopped is the penalty over?

reminds me of penalty shoot outs in "kick off" on the amiga, you could miss then put in the rebounded ball and it would count
