Best Managers in the PL years

Who have been the best managers since the beginning of the PL? The easy answers are Fergie (most successful) or Wenger (most entertaining team(s)) I guess but are there any managers who have done great things with poorer squads who deserve a mention? I would personally put Curbishley and Alardyce in the list.

I usually hate confining things to the PL in the style of SKY but a/ due to my age and b/ due to the fact that since the inception of the PL there have been enormous changes to the way finances affect different teams I think it is worth doing here.

Wenger for me, with an honourable for mention for the great job Curbishley did. Obviously Ferguson is up there but I hate him so....

Wenger: he's done it with limited funds, playing attractive football and has improved the players he's signed.
No-one comes close in my opinion.
Much of Fergie's success has been with his accademy players of Beckham, Giggs, Scholes, Nevilles and Butt. A lot of his signings has been overpriced or flops.

To be fair to Fergie he has made some great buys (Keane, Solskjaer, Cantona, Ronaldo, Rooney) and the reason he has had to pay so much is because United were a financial powerhouse so teams new they could pay more, much as they do now with Chelsea.

How about King Kenny winning the championship with Blackburn Rovers?

            O'Neill at Leicester too

Two league cup wins for them and built a very sound team with some shrewd purchases

Lennon and Izzet formed one of the best CM partnerships in the Prem for a while!

Much as it pains me to admit it, you can't look beyond Ferguson and Wenger for the best Premier League manager. Winning it and winning it again are all that counts, despite the achievements of people like O'Neill and one time winners like Dalglish and Howard Wilkinson.

Of course Mourinho would be on the list as well if he wasn't such a nice guy and wasn't hamstrung by his boss's insistence on buying the title.

The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Wenger and Ferguson have done great Jobs since the start.

I taught Grame Souness done a great job of wrecking Liverpool to which we havent recovered yet

Souness has probably done more to destroy teams in the Pl than any other manager that I can think of.

Wenger deserves the accolades and sadly so does old whisky nose

I guess third place for Norwich is quite an achievement, as is beating Bayern.
