Should we change the game to make it more exciting?

I was talking to a fellow Liverpool fan a while back and he contended that modern fitness regimes and increased player size was making football less exciting. If you look at the number of goals in World Cups and in the major european leagues (he had the stats, I don't) they are all on the decrease so maybe there is something in it. If you accept this premise should we take measures to make football more entertaining?

I was resistant but I have come round to the idea that bigger goals (compensating for bigger keepers these days) are probably a good idea.

I also want the offside law to be implemented so that the advantage goes to attackers.

THe premiership is the most exciting league in world football. We don't need to change the rules.

It's not just the premiership I'm taking about though.

Also many PL games are terrible and only come to any sort of life when a goal goes in.

Multiball if the game is drawn after 85 minutes.

No fouls - if you can't play on, crawl off the pitch and let someone take your place for the remainder of the game, otherwise stop your whining and get on with it. You're paid enough to get decent medical care when you retire FFS!

Instead of goalie gloves, how about goalie glove-balloons so they cant catch it properly?

Otherwise, I agree - points only scored for a win, maybe even more points if goal difference is > 2.
