The commentator will probably refer to the scores as they come on the screen - so you'll have to mute and avert your gaze as soon as the 'latest scores' caption thing comes up.

Had this situation in mind when watching Spurs-Arsenal last night and the commentators made no reference to the scores going across the bottom. Be just our luck for tonight's comms to go "Oh look! Northampton are winning at Anfield!"
