    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-11403202

The Premier League club also said it had paid off all debt on its Highbury Square property development of flats, built on the ground of its old stadium.

So where does this fit in with Purslow's comments that with the debt removed we would become the most profitable football club in the league, does it still hang true?

Hats off to them. That is how you run a football club.

Doesn't look like the wait will be too much longer though tbf. I am sure the majority of their fans are happy.

I would take 5 trophyless years to be in that position. new stadium and solid, low debt financial health.

its not like they've suffered without the CL or having to watch dire football over the last 5 years is it.

they are a properly run club.

                1 (nearly) out of 3 ain't bad.

Seriously though, they are very well run and it's hard not to be jealous.

They have benefited from the ability to develop Highbury, cant see a similar Anfield redevelopment will fall in the same bracket.

add to that list they play some really good football as opposed to our kick/hoof and run type and it's difficult not to be envious.
                  We come not to play.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Their Manager is a genius though, an absolute master. If only we could have tempted him to leave them for us c.1997/8.

He has his flaws though but yeah Arsene Wenger knows what good football is. If only he could pick a good goalkeeper!

Rumour is they're just biding their time until every other club goes bust and then they can win everything

                              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
