So where does this fit in with Purslow's comments that with the debt removed we would become the most profitable football club in the league, does it still hang true?

It's a bit of a tautology, but if we were relatively debt free, we'd be pretty profitable. Our revenues have come a long way, but as is well publicised, our wage bill has also increased considerably (I reckon this is what Hicks is referring to when he says that 'Rafa spent big on transfers' ). But still, I don't think we'd be too far away from those numbers even without a new stadium.
