As i said, i'd ditch the group seeding and just have a free draw.

Maybe the teams in the group only play each other once - although Uefa would never want to reduce the number of games, and consequently, the revenue generating opportunities.

That won't happen as this keeps the stronger teams in the comp as it progresses .......making the latter stage of the comp more exciting..............the whipping boys are there for a reason

Use of a hancapping system based upon seeding would shake things up a little. Imagine Barcelona having to start -2 against smaller teams like Everton

Old style thinking, just because it has never been played like that does not mean one day it should not be played like that.

Years ago, football betting was on straight results, nowadays you can handicap bet. Times change.
