Sunderland were by far the better side in the first half, mancs hardly had an attempt or barely got into Sunderland's third of the field - just a couple of corners and a freekick on the edge, which Nani put wide. Otherwise, no threat.

Sunderland had an absolute sitter missed by Malbranque, also had a drilled low ball into the box diverted towards goal at pace, but was blocked - and Zenden hit the post.

2nd half, Berbatov's on and had the ball in the net, but was comfortably offside and the goal disallowed.

Rating people and thinking they are 'quality' are vastly different.

They have some decent/good players. Not especially 'quality' ones though.
