NICOL WANTS USA JOB
Jimmy Rice 25 October 2006
Liverpool legend Steve Nicol has thrown his hat into the ring to succeed Bruce Arena as USA coach.
However, the former Scotland international faces stiff competition from bookies' favourite Jurgen Klinsmann.
Nicol knows it would be a massive feat and insists he won't let the speculation interfere with his current role as manager of MLS side New England Revolution.
"I'd be crazy not to be interested, but I may not get the nod on this occasion," said the 44-year-old.
"Hopefully my time will come, but I won't be sitting up worrying about it.
"I'm a real believer in getting on with the job you have - anything that happens in the future is dictated by what you do now."
