As for the rest, Redknapp deserves every bit that's going to come his way. Prentice's done a marvellous job in publishing that, it's going to create waves down there. His bit about Hodgson (which you haven't pasted in there) is every bit as fabulous.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

he didnt though. In his first few years he sspent a lot and didnt recoup anywhere near that.

only in the last 2 seasons have we clawed **** loads back and its fair to see we are nowhere near the best team in europe now!!! struggling to be the best team on Merseyside after tranmere's 2 match unbeaten run

Can Roy Hodgson ride to the rescue like his board members?

TO some Reds fans, they were the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

But this week Martin Broughton, Christian Purslow, Ian Ayre and Philip Nash came riding to the rescue like a modern day Three Musketeers and d’Artagnan!

There may still be eyebrows raised at the involvement of the chief executive in some football related issues, but you simply cannot argue that Anfield’s rebel directors have played a blinder.

They didn’t just manipulate the reviled American owners into a position where they could be forced out of Anfield.

According to yesterday’s Echo front page, they “humiliated” them.

Triumphalism is not a particularly nice trait. But then the Americans haven’t been particularly nice owners.

But while the Anfield board has managed to connect with the club’s fans in spectacular fashion this week, it’s time for Roy Hodgson to follow suit.

There’s a growing belief that the Liverpool manager is a lovely, dignified and distinguished man, who still doesn’t share his supporters’ views on the size of the football club he manages.

After the goalless draw in Utrecht he spoke of unrealistic expectations hindering the players.

I’m sorry Roy. Expectations are justifiably huge because, as the sign says, this is Anfield – home of the five time European Cup winners and 18 time champions.

When Alex Ferguson laughably accused Fernando Torres of cheating, he failed to leap to his striker’s defence for 24 hours.

He even expressed surprise at protests against the American owners.

In many ways I’m reminded of Mike Walker’s ill-fated tenure at Everton.

Walker was out of his depth and on borrowed time from the moment he spoke of “enjoying the wonderful atmosphere” at his first Merseyside derby. Everton had just lost 2-1.

Rafa Benitez was a Spaniard with a faltering command of English language, but he connected almost instantly with his club’s supporters.

It’s a trick Roy Hodgson could do with pulling off quickly.

Like his Fantastic Four board members.

He's been nothing but complimentary towards LFC previously so this random and totally out of order blast is puzzling to say the least.

Disappointed in Harry, he's certainly went down in my estimation.

Almost half of Goal.com UK voters have branded Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp a disgrace for sympathising with Liverpool owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett amidst the drama of the club's sale.

45.07 per cent thought Redknapp's comments were 'completely wrong' and continued to lay the blame for the club's plight at the door of its American owners as they attempt to obstruct the sale of the club to New England Sports Ventures (NESV).

That rug really tied the room together.

Well, another 35.26% thought "He has a point about Rafa and players but sympathising with the owners is a step too far"
