A good performance really, and I would have settled for us showing up and scoring a couple against Spain. Getting beat 2-3 I'd have probably even settled for that.

It all counts for nothing after Friday though. Why play so negatively against a poor Czech team and then try to play a bit against the Spanish? It makes no sense.

Levein was all that was on offer, agreed Levein has done nothing to warrant it, but neither has Mark McGhee, he who went for it too. I'd bring back Craig Brown before Souness!

i mentioned souness cause i think there is no heart, no desire, no beleif, no fight in this squad and even though he's not the greatest manager in the world ( far from it ) he would at least have bags of passion and get the players playing with loyalty and love for the country - some bite and desire - he's just that sort of guy.

lets just hope that the close scorleine that flattered us doesnt lead people to beleive levein should stay as gaffer - bar mcgregor that game would have ended up 6 or 7 goals to 2.

The Weatherman,his name is : Emilsson

He is not part of this team, Victor Palsson is though and he is the one I mentioned, I think Emilsson is only 18 or so and will probably be part of the next u-21 team. Although it does concern me that his development is probably slowing down a bit at Liverpool. The players in the U-21 team who are doing best are the ones that started playing early in weaker leagues (Championship, Eredvise and Scandinavia).

I just reckon we'd end up with a raft of players retiring from international football i he took over. He's a plum.

Thats a "like" for the second part of that statement. We looked like being overrun for most of the game. They're great to watch Spain, but on the whole I thought Scotland did as well as we could have expected and more.
