Yeah, I remember that. I was in a foul mood that night because I wasn't allowed to play on Astro Wars.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostDoes it make me old that I can remember us beating Spain 3-1 at Hampden in the 80's. Mo Johnston with 2 and Kenny with a beauty (gets ball sticks arse out rolls defender, buries it top corner)...
Obviously all if this was pre 4-6-0.

A good performance really, and I would have settled for us showing up and scoring a couple against Spain. Getting beat 2-3 I'd have probably even settled for that.Originally posted by Daniel Torres View PostAnother glorious defeat.
It all counts for nothing after Friday though. Why play so negatively against a poor Czech team and then try to play a bit against the Spanish? It makes no sense.Modifying post.

Leroy, why Souness? He's ****.Alex Ferguson/david Moyes/Owen Coyle would be the three that i can think of right now.i mentioned souness cause i think there is no heart, no desire, no beleif, no fight in this squad and even though he's not the greatest manager in the world ( far from it ) he would at least have bags of passion and get the players playing with loyalty and love for the country - some bite and desire - he's just that sort of guy.Originally posted by Daniel Torres View PostSouness? **** off, he'd be worse. Our squad is full of huffy *******s as it is, we'd be left with SFL players before long.
Levein was all that was on offer, agreed Levein has done nothing to warrant it, but neither has Mark McGhee, he who went for it too. I'd bring back Craig Brown before Souness!
lets just hope that the close scorleine that flattered us doesnt lead people to beleive levein should stay as gaffer - bar mcgregor that game would have ended up 6 or 7 goals to 2.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

He is not part of this team, Victor Palsson is though and he is the one I mentioned, I think Emilsson is only 18 or so and will probably be part of the next u-21 team. Although it does concern me that his development is probably slowing down a bit at Liverpool. The players in the U-21 team who are doing best are the ones that started playing early in weaker leagues (Championship, Eredvise and Scandinavia).Originally posted by IN_RAFA_WE_TRUST View PostThe Weatherman, his name is : Emilsson* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I just reckon we'd end up with a raft of players retiring from international football i he took over. Thats a "like" for the second part of that statement. We looked like being overrun for most of the game. They're great to watch Spain, but on the whole I thought Scotland did as well as we could have expected and more.
Oh, and Whitaker at left back? That's a dislike.
