Disgusted at ITV's Carling Cup Coverage

Now I know there is a conspiracy theaory going on that we are hated by the BBC and get shown nearly last on Match of the day most weeks however I have to say I was well pissed off with the coverage we got on last nights highlights.

They spend nearly half of the programme showing a second string Man U just getting through in the last few minutes of extra time against a plucky Crewe Alexandra side.

They spend a further 15 minutes showing Tottenhams demolition of lowly MK Dons only to cram our 4-3 victory (which was arguably the best match of the night with 4 of the best goals) into the last 15 minutes along with 3 other games, yesterdays games and the results of last nights 4th round draw.

The coverage of our game must have lasted less than 3 minutes and thats only because of the replays of the goals - the first thing they showed was Fowlers sublime finish which was scored on 44 minutes FFS!

Did anyone else think this or am I on my own here?

I'm not saying that ITV hate us but to get 3 minutes of coverage for a 4-3 victory is pants - especailly after I had stayed up for it!

    I was'nt happy

ITV always seemed crap to us when they had premiership highlights.

I have to disagree about the BBC thing, basically we haven't played exciting football for a while so we get shown less. It's a shame but we get plenty of coverage when we are dong well.

It's fair enough that we don't get great coverage when we are playing badly however I have seen a lot of people complaining of the BBC's dealing of us, regardless of that though we scored 4 of the best goals last night and we had 3 minutes of coverage losing out to Man U's dire game (although Crewe can be proud of the performance they gave!)

Thing is I think they decide which games to show before hand, and as the Manure and Spurs games offered the best chances of an upset, these were going to be the games they focused on.

I will give that a try - do they show all of Liverpools matches - i.e. will they be showing the Villa game at the weekend do you know?

Sounds good Tom. Is there a thread containing details on how to get Tass?

As a general rule, BBC schedule the games with the most goals first on MOTD. ITV have always had a united bias ges back years and will probably never changes as there seems to be a number of prominent scum supporters on the commentary and production teams.

The TASS option looks like the best route for me in the future as I don't have sky and won't get it either.

ITV's coverage of football in general has been nothing short of abysmal for as long as i can remember.
