Why is he even allowed to have his nickname on the back of his shirt?

I thought you were the Little P?
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I thought that was against PL rules or something. Rooney could have his nickname on the back.

He's going to be a great player for them. I was expecting him to replace rooney and bang them in.

United fan at work lived in Mexico for a year or two and was made up when he signed for them. Thinks he's the real deal.

                Tremendous goal yesterday.

What about Maxi for us? Is that not technically a nickname? Is Rodriguiz (sp?) not his surname?

Well Maxi is his first name no? There are plenty of players (usually South American/Spanish I imagine) who've used their first name instead of their surname.

But I just didn't think using an actual nickname was allowed. And it shouldn't be because it is ****ing ****.

Wait until next season when Terry has 'JT' on the back of his shirt.

It should be a rule that it's your first or surname not a ****ing nickname
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.
