Nani just scored the most bizarre goal i've ever seen - more bizarre than ours v Sunderland.

Nani brought down - no pen. Gomes has the ball in his hands, drops it to the ground to take a 'freekick' or set piece with Nani right next to him - Nani looks at ref, who indicates that there's no stop in play - Nani just puts it into the net, with Gomes looking bewildered - goal given.

That has to be a free kick. He hasn't given a penalty and Nani then handles it. Free kick. Yet it's not given and they get a goal out of it

Where did Nani handle it? He was on the floor, Gomes picked it up and then dropped it, Nani put it into the net. I didnt see him handle.

Odd ****ing goal. Regardless of whether Nani handballed it, Gomes has the ball in his hands, no referee blows in that situation, they just play on. Why has he put it down?
