Two cracking goals scored by the southport lads today. They lost it when Blakeman came off, but i don't think he could go any longer.

When they equalised for the second time, they needed to just try and contain Sheffield Wednesday a little more, but ended up going all out and were punised for some poor defending.

Take nothing away from them, they were playing against some ex-premier league standard players in the likes of Teale, Mellor, Purse, Morrison.

Yeah the score was a shame but these are part time lads playing against some good players. good goals and some money in the bank, hopefully attendances will go up a little bit but cant see it really
