Eden Hazard has ruled out leaving Lille in January after being linked with a move to Liverpool.

Reports of a possible switch to Liverpool intensified last weekend when Reds boss Roy Hodgson was spotted watching the highly-rated attacker in action.

Liverpool have been long-term admirers of the Belgian international, while a number of other Premier League clubs are also thought to be keen on Hazard.

Hazard is adamant he will stay at Lille until the end of the season, but has admitted he will consider his future next summer.

"I don't know what I will do next season," Hazard told L'Equipe. "First of all I want to finish the season well at Lille.

          Thinking

"I absolutely don't want to leave in January and why not stay here?

"I want to discover the new stadium with my club. If we play in the Champions League, it would be an important element in my thinking.

"We will see at the end of the season if we go on that way."

Lille chairman Michel Seydoux insists they will do everything to keep the talented playmaker.

"The most important thing is the appeal we can offer him. We will do anything to grow with him," said Seydoux."

This is why we have to finish 4th. That is the only competition top players dream of winning.

I think we'll get him, he crosses every box that NESV is looking for in a player.

I think that we will sign him in January but that we will let him stay the rest of the season.

If we want him then we will probably have to do a deal like that because other clubs will make bids.

That could suit both parties and may be the way to go as he sounded keen to stay till season end in an article on here
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

That would be a great idea, buy him and let him stay till the end of the season, or if they qualify for the champions league, let him stay another season. He's worth it.

Seems an odd thing to do, I could understand letting him stay until the end of the season but letting him stay 18 months if we'd spent ~£15-20m on him would be a very strange thing to do!
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Didn't he say he wants to play in their new stadium?
                        Would keep him happy.

Aye, totally pointless. we need a creative and enthusiastic spark shot through the team so it would be totally pointless buying someone that provides that but not bringing him over for 18 months. Better to pass than have that sort of half baked arrangement
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

We would probably have to offer at least £25m. I think myself that he will cost any club more than £30m.

Make a £30m bid and then make the deal very quickly. That is what I would do. If you want a player like this then you will have to act very quick before other clubs realize what is going on. We will probably have to pay close that amount anyway so it would be worth to spend that little bit extra to make sure that we get him.

25m-30m is way over the top for Hazard. He's a good prospect but he's vastly overrated.

If we want him then we must pay OTT to get him. So many clubs will be after him that he will be very expensive.

If we don't, well, then we won't get him. It is as simple as that. How many millions extra is it worth to make sure that we get him?
