Thanjk you.

After seeing Aguero get 2 goals and 1 assist against Swansea, I really hope we can sign a big marquee player like this before the window closes or else in January.
Maybe in January if things are going well in the league. Depends entirely on our results but we could turn a few heads by then to think about a player of this calibre.

It's signing quality players like this that MAKES things go well in the league.
I'm getting quite depressed at how pedestrian and conservative we are.
City werent in the CL when they managed to sign some of their quality players, which shows that if you have money to spend, you can still get them. Obviously we cant spend like them, but we HAVE still spent a ****ing ****load. Just not spent it as well as we could, IMO.

I wonder if Suarez waited until the summer, with that Copa behind him, whether he would have come to Liverpool. I suspect not.

If players don't want to come, what can you do?
First thing i WOULDNT do is assume no good players want to play for us - it seems that's the easier thing to do, than perhaps consider the prospect that we may not have bought brilliantly.
Do you think no quality players would ever go to a club outside the CL?

No, I didn't say that.
I have no idea who the club were after and who turned us down. Neither do you.
To ignore the fact that we're not in Europe being factor is a bit odd at best.
We were in the Eurodisney Cup when suarez came to us, and he couldnt even play in it. City werent in the CL last season and still found quality players who would go there.
To ignore the fact that some top players will still go to a club in our position is a bit odd at best.

I'm bored of this Craig.
Not really interested in going around in circles with you across multiple threads. It's like a never-ending really boring Viennese waltz.
I didnt want to go round in circles either dom, i just couldnt (and cant) figure out why you're so adamant that we apparently cant get top quality players, because we're not in CL - when recent evidence proves that some players of that ilk DO move to clubs in our position.
I think money speaks louder than CL places, for many top players, especially in the EPL.
If players see a team spending large amounts it shows they are going in the right direction, even if they aren't in the CL. I think Aguero could still have gone to City even if they weren't in the CL.
With our spending we could have been more ambitious because of the new owners. Liverpool could still attract big players. The likes of Mata and Hazard are not yet out of our reach I feel. It is just up to us to show the ambition.
