FSG don't have any other option than to continue to splash the cash because they will probably build a new stadium and they need to fill it week in week out.

The only way doing that is if we are fighting for the league and CL trophies.

They will earn back the money they spend now later if we are fighting at the top. Better sponsorship deals, more CL money and so on.

If a player cost £40m and Kenny want him then money won't stop the deal going through IMO.

I'm really not worried you know mate. Dalglish will get full backing for any player he wants I am absolutely confident of that.

Most of the dross from the club has gone now so there won't be much recouping to do they can just keep investing from now on.

Another thing as well, the Red Sox have had a disappointing year so they will want to make sure they improve next year and I feel they will channel their efforts into both the Red Sox and us next season to make us both stronger.

all of our revenue will hop straight back into the club. i can't imagine that our non ~ cl related revenue hasn't gone up since they've taken over. they spend silly money in boston because they also bring in silly money. if we make 100 millon odd, then you can bet we'll spend it as well. not to mention as someone already said, cl is where they want this club to be, year in year out. and ultimately, league champions as well, every year if possible. i think they are well aware that you don't get there without spending your money.

i also agree with whoever said that the scariest thing is that kenmolli just isn't interested in that kind of player for whatever reason. my own hope is that this summer was about putting in place a strong english backbone that's young and we will be around fire a long time, and hopefully we can look forward to some sexy imports in the future. fact is, they have already brought in two cracking players in suarez and coates. i hope and think that there will be more foreign flair to complement our british steel.

I don't think we should read too much into last summers activity in the transfer market, we had a very poor squad and needed to improve that first and foremost, by buying PL based players in the main we knew to a point what we were getting and they knew the pressures and pace of the league.

Now we've got a decent squad and at least a bit of depth now we'll be able to look at options like Hazard as we have the players in place in the squad to do a job whilst they settle into the side properly, that at least is my hope!

We paid £35m for Carroll.

And £22m for Suarez/£20m for Downing, suggests to me that we're willing to pay big money if we consider the player to be worth it.

I think we've missed the boat as supporters and still think £20mil is a lot of money. Villa spend that on a peripheral england striker.

With the last EPL TV deal and the removal of club debt I think we'll have a decent operating profit before transfers and we should have 25+ plus per window even without CL footy. We have access to interest free cash if we're short in the bank through the owners so I agree with the sentiment above that if Kenmoli realy want someone or see it as agood value then cash will me made available to make signings happen.

All that said I expect Hazzard to choose someone else.
