I don't think money is the issue, it would take a great bit of persuasion though, especially with our lack of CL football and midtable position.

Well the money issue doesn't even come into it really because first he'd need to be interested and based on United being interested and us being an appalling 8th I don't see what would make him interested in our 'project'

I'm not sure how United would use him tbh.. Rooney plays in the whole so he wont be in there if they sign him, wouldn't surprise me if Fergie got rid of Young and got portrayed as a hero for getting rid of the diver.
