    Aaron Ramsey to Forest

Nottingham Forest have signed Arsenal's Wales international midfielder Aaron Ramsey on loan until 3 January 2011.

Ramsey suffered fractures to the tibia and fibula of his right leg against Stoke in February but made his comeback for Arsenal reserves this week.

The 19-year-old joined the Gunners from Championship side Cardiff City for £5m in June 2008.

Ramsay, who has scored twice in 11 caps for Wales, has made 27 league appearances for Arsene Wenger's side.

The move was completed only four minutes before the end of the loan transfer deadline, on a day when Forest also signed Sheffield Wednesday's Marcus Tudgay's in a deal that will be made permanent in January.

Forest manager Billy Davies told the club website: "It's just nice to get a player of such quality in from Arsenal.

"What you sometimes have to do is go with a flyer and try to find out the availability of people and ask questions of friends and friends of friends.

"You don't suppose you sometimes have hope but if you don't buy a ticket you don't stand a chance of winning the lottery.

"We thought we'd try a flyer, ask some questions and before we knew it there was a slight possibility of getting him and then all of sudden we're delighted.

"Everybody at the club is very, very pleased with the fact that an excellent footballer coming to the club."

Ramsey made 29 appearances in all competitions last season for Arsenal before his injury, scoring four times.

The midfielder's leg was broken in a challenge by Stoke's Ryan Shawcross, who was sent off for the tackle in the Premier League game at the Britannia Stadium on 27 February 2010.

Forest had also been chasing Leicester's Matty Fryatt but they failed to complete the deal.

A statement on Arsenal's website said: "Everyone at Arsenal Football Club wishes Aaron the best of luck during his time with Nottingham Forest and we all look forward to seeing him once again in an Arsenal shirt in the New Year."

Obviously want him to get match fit while playing some worthwhile football. Great deal for Forest.

Isn't Fabregas out of the next few games tho? Plus Diaby's out long-term i think.

Leaves them with Song and the experienced Wilshire and the woeful Denilson.

        Bit surprised by this tbh.

                You rate him?

Every time i see him, he looks way out of his depth.

He's decent. Not a world beater, but not ****e or woeful.

He is an average player alright, he's just there. Surprised Ramsey gone on loan but best of luck to the lad, fantastic talent and a great deal for Forest. Arsenal have Nasri who can fill in the centre for Cesc, Song and Wilshere. Denilson as back up so their well covered.

I actually really like him as a player. He's a bit like Lucas in that I think he needs the right midfielder alongside him and I'm not totally convinced they are suited to the PL. Both however are excellent short passers and under rated as tacklers.
