To add to the debate about Messi. I know he played for the 'm' team but George Best was the Messi of his generation although on football pitches made of mud and hard *******s when they kicked you they wanted to break your legs. The Guy was a genius as a footballer. Flair players have it some what easier in todays era. But Messi is simply World Class and up their with the old timer's as one of the best regardless of if he wins the world cup or not imo.

i am watching the flintoff thing on tv at the moment then i want to watch panorama on i player but i will check to see if you have answered

oh and one ofthe ones i may have chosen has been mentioned but i didnt know we were not choosing international teams

and going back to my origonal point i said i would chose an 11 that would arguably be better not unarguably be better

I don't know how Mourinho could even think about starting with two central midfielders against Barcelonas three.

What an own goal.

Mourinho is a great manager but he still do big tactical mistakes.

He did it because he's been clear about his starting 11 and how he'll play. If he changed something and brought in say Lassana Diarra and Madrid still got ****ed over (as they would have - i.e. see the second half) then the press would've killed him for dropping an attacking player i.e. Ozil or Di Maria to make space for a player whom had been warming the bench.

What a class performance. It's good to see Villa at the level he should be at too, he's often overlooked because of Messi, Xavi, Iniesta etc but christ he's right amongst them - what a player.

Also found it disgraceful how Ronaldo pushed Pep. I was hoping he'd do a Ronaldo and fall to the floor in an attempt to get him sent off haha.

Just watched the game on sky plus as was at footie... That for me is the most amazing display of football I hav ever witnessed.. Just sheer pleasure to watch... Messi pedro xavi iniesta, villa and alves were just unplayable..... People can say Madrid didn't play well but that is an injustice to barca... Madrid, probably the second best team in the world ATM... Could not have stopped it... No one could have... Just wow... Don't want to go to overboard like but still wow.... I could watch that again and again and again and every single person who plays football... Be it a 5 yr old in the playground, a promising teenager, a decent amateur a top pro or a fat ******* in five a side should watch and watch and learn from it

30 indeed, i'm sure i'd be beyond shocked at knowing the age of some of the people on here with some of the things they say. Football turns is all into to kids though, thats the gift of it.
