I wasn't paying full attention to their game, but it was no worse that the performances we've put in in most games this season, so on that basis maybe he does deserve to goOriginally posted by Maxiedge View PostApparently the first half against West Brom yesterday was as bad as it gets. Didn't see it myself mind.
But in all seriousness they've played some good stuff at times this season, and given that he got them promoted and was doing a good job for a team that had just come up it seems very harsh to get rid of him. Few Newcastle managers in recent years (and there have been a few
) will have come into the job with the team in a stronger position
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Probably, because Hodgson has alot of friends in the press. But looking at where the clubs have been for the past couple of years we have IMO a much stronger case for getting rid of Hodgson, than Newcastle have for getting rid of HughtonOriginally posted by dom9 View PostIf we sack Hodgson next week, I wonder if the reaction in the wider football world would be similar? The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I can't say it surprises me. The thing that does surprise me is how the Geordies think they're a "huge" club, just because they have (at times) packed out St James's Park. I had to deal with an irate Geordie when I said Everton were by far the bigger club. Of course they are. They have a far better history and a bigger, more loyal fan base.
Lets just hope they don't interfere with our recruitment.
Oh noes! WHAT IF THEY STEAL ROY?!?!?!??!?!?!!
