    Just covering my back

At 4/9 though, you'd have to seriously pile in. You that convinced?

      Check the edit, Craigy.

      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Chievo vs Sampdoria - suspicious betting activity on draw
By Richard Hutchinson on 1 Apr 2011 10:37

                          --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CHIEVO, Italy - Football authorities are investigating betting on this weekend's Chievo vs Sampdoria match in which the draw is trading at a suspiciously short price. The draw is currently available at best odds of 8/13 (bet £13 to make £8 profit) with Paddy Power, although most bookmakers have suspended betting on the match.

There is a culture of teams agreeing to draws towards the end of the season in Italian football, especially in the lower divisions. But for a Serie A match to have such a short price for the draw at this stage of the season is unusual.

The Italian football authorities have said they will be talking to the clubs involved about the result of Sunday's game and watching for any suspicious activity.

A draw in a standard Italian Serie A game normally trades around the 2/1 mark. The top price matched on the Chievo game on the betting exchange Betfair is 2.96 and the draw has now been matched as low as 1.44. The price has rebounded to 1.65 on Betfair as bettors wonder if the teams involved dare play out a draw with so much suspicion around the game. A total of $818,113 has been traded on the game, of which $796,801 has been bet on the draw. By way of contrast, the Roma vs Juventus game on the same day has had just over $50,000 traded on it, despite being in theory a much more high profile game.

A leading European bookmaker told Live Odds and Scores that several Italian games had suspicious betting patterns this weekend. "The draw in the Albinoleffe and Crotone games have all seen a lot of money from the right sources," he told us.

Live Odds and Scores is not suggesting either Chievo or Sampdoria has fixed the result of their match, merely that the betting on the match suggests that a large number of people think it will end in a draw.

FFS i've stuck £64 of them winnings on Napoli to beat Lazio, it was 0-1 at half time, now it's 2-3 also put some of the winnings on Sampdoria to win
looks like i'm going to lose my winnings at this rate.

                              3-3 there is still hope.
