He's certainly not good enough at the minute. It really depends on what he learns from things. Rafa is pretty hard on players to for example.

Roy clearly needs to change a lot of things but his teams, at their best, are better than the sum of the parts. I think he needs to work out how to hold that together longer. Not sure if he will do it but I think he has a chance.

He seems to have made a lot of the same mistakes at Ipswich that he made at Sunderland.

His bullish personality and stubbornness should also be acknowledged as obstacles towards self improvement.
