The misery this **** stain caused in just a few months was remarkable, humiliated and outclassed in the Derby only for him to hail it the "best display of the season"! Urgh god, just one example from 100s I could drag up. It got that bad that most blues actually stopped taking the piss.

Never do I want to be wishing a manager of ours would get sacked or die so the pain would end again. He treated us like ****e from the moment he got here. Kenny ****ing knew it aswell, I can understand Purslow ignoring fans opinion but you dont ignore Kenny Dalglish.

It's a very cathartic thread. This complete and utter cunt nearly killed off my love of football for good so it's good to get rid of all that frustration and have a good laugh at his expense. It's incredible, truly incredible, that this cunt was once our manager.

I like this thread. It is in many way what you would call therapeutic posting about the mad old ****. In some ways I find reading about the man has started in it's own small, but not insignificant way, to affect the way I post on this Internet web based forum of public opinion. The theories and methods he uses in coaching football to professional footballer are, wouldn't you say, some of the most trumped up and over simplistic ideas in existence. What he does in my own not insignificant, but not at the same time overly significant point of view is to explain these tactics, theories, coatings and musings in a way where the disguise of using as many words that the old duffer is aware of using the English language to reflect some intended intellect and sophistication , when in reality he is talking about a simple system, 442, in fact, the most simple tactical systems and not in fact rocket science.

it amazes me how so many of you follow what he's up to. I have no ill feeling towards him at all. he's a half glass empty chap, there's plenty about in life and on here. he hasn't killed anyone or committed any crimes. he took the job and wasn't up to it. we've moved on and up and he's done his thing. I just don't get what the hatred if this instance will achieve. I think a fair amount of the hate he gets is down to people bagging all the hicks, gillett, purslow, rafa stuff together when viewing him. anyway, thats my view, carry on as before.........he can't half talk some **** mind.

I love this. It's pure Roy. Odemwingie, the guy he's been slagging off all season, saves his arse today with a winning goal. A much needed and even more rare away win for Roy. And how does he repay Odemwingie's contribution? He compliments his display but still cant resist the opportunity to have a dig at him

ROY Hodgson was delighted to see his men bounce back in style with a deserved 2-1 victory at Blackburn that was sealed by sensational James Morrison and Peter Odemwingie strikes.

The Baggies responded to last week's disappointing 2-1 defeat by Wigan by securing their first top-flight win at Ewood Park in more than 45 years.

Morrison opened the scoring seven minutes after the break - his second goal of the season - only for Scott Dann to snatch an equaliser 20 minutes later.

But Albion were not to be undone and Odemwingie grabbed all three points to send them up to 13th in the table thanks to an 89th-minute winner - his first goal since October.

"We left it late but I thought throughout the 80-odd minutes that led to our second goal we created lots of opportunities where we found ourselves in good positions in and around the Blackburn penalty area to produce the final pass or shot.

"We managed to miss those opportunities and it took two very good goals to win us the game.

"I think over the 90 minutes we can be more than satisfied with the day's work.

"We can reasonably say we comfortably deserved it on the basis of our possession and chances created.

"I think it makes up a little bit for last week but not as much as one would like because, if we'd have won last week, and I thought we deserved to win last week, we'd have been in a great position.

"As it is we've just limited the damage of the Wigan defeat.

"But I think there was more of an element of misfortune in not winning the game last week than there was misfortune in Blackburn not winning this game today."

The Baggies boss also praised his men for not letting their heads drop when Rovers levelled through their strong aerial threat as ex-Blues man Dann got on the end of Christopher Samba's knockdown.

"I think the back-four and midfielder defended those situations well," Hodgson added.

"It's not a great secret how Blackburn play and what they try to do.

"We knew there would be lots of balls floated up towards our penalty area, there would be lots of big guys up there competing for it, and we knew we had to make sure we didn't get caught on the second ball.

"I thought we'd done that very, very well and on one occasion you don't do it and it is 1-1 and you think 'do we deserve this - we haven't defended badly but it is still 1-1?'

"We got ourselves going again after that and didn't put our heads down.

"We continued to create chances and luckily for me Peter Odemwingie, who by his standards had a very disappointing game last week, today had a very good game and showed what a class player he is."

“We are not looking to improve or strengthen or lengthen our squad,” he said, “but obviously if there are players out there that will help us get more points over the course of the season we would be happy to take them.

“It’s not an easy time to buy players, but if there are any players out there that will be able to improve our squad, they’ll be capable of also improving someone else’s squad so there will be enormous competition I’m sure.”

If anything Albion would like to lighten their load with Roman Bednar, the one-time Championship goal-taker who has become all but dormant under Hodgson, an obvious contender to be moved on.

And Hodgson also has the delicate issue of Simon Cox to resolve with the fringe midfield-forward understandably keen to find more first-team football to press his Ireland challenge ahead of next summer’s European Championship finals.

But Hodgson said: “I’m confident in the squad, I am yes. I believe this group of players is good enough to achieve our objective which is to be in the league again when it kicks off in August.

“But like every other coach and manager we are constantly on the look out. If we can bring something about to make us even better then we would do it. I’m not prepared to say it’s necessary or else.

“This same group of players showed last year that they can keep us up in the league and move us up to mid-table, why can’t they do it again?”

His objective is to finish 17th. Truly lofty ambition indeed, for a club which finished 11th last season.
