Anyone see Hodgson's presser on SSN today? He's at it again!

West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson hopes that outsiders and critics do not judge him on what happened at Liverpool earlier this season.

The humble 63-year old joined the Reds in July last year, taking over from Rafael Benitez, but was unceremoniously dumped from the position in early January after a horror beginning at Anfield.

What the former Fulham boss wants to get across that there is so much accomplishment in his extensive career that a bad spell at one club should not be a time in his coaching lifetime that should remembered.

"I'd like to have thought that people who studied my career during 36 successful years would not have made judgement on good or bad in the space of months," he said.

"I always remain positive in that respect. With a career as long as mine, I'm very satisfied with it myself and I don't follow the headlines.

"If there were headlines suggesting I'm not very good or suggesting I'm very good I take them with the same pinch of salt.

"I think it's a very sad indictment of a 36-year career that after one period (at Liverpool) which is less than successful, people are making snap judgements about your ability.

"It makes it a pretty sad world for us people and professionals working in it."

Amongst the honours achieved by Hodgson are: Two Swedish Allsvenskan championships, and a John West Tuna Cup with Halmstad in the 1970s, four further Swedish titles with Malmo in the 1980s plus a Findus Trophy, a UEFA Cup final with Inter Milan in 1997, one Danish Superliga victory with Copenhagen in 2000/01, UEFA Cup runners-up with Fulham last year and the League Association Manager of the Year award in 2010.

I take it all back frenchie, my humble and sincere apologies.

As for Hodgson - so he's finally admitting that his spell at LFC was 'less than successful' then? Because, as i remember it, he liked to often peddle the myth that our players werent good enough and that nobody could do a better job than he was. So if he was doing the 'best possible' job with the '****' he had at his disposal, why does he call his spell at LFC 'less than successful' ? The ****ing tit.

Couldn't agree more, as I sit here on the beach at Puerto Vallarta getting my hair all Yaya Binks like, didn't like the **** then and even less now.

Shaggy's videos were the only good thing to come out of this apart from smints.

Just hope that KK gets his contract soon and that the saved interest payments go back into the team...

Lovin' logging into this site from Mexico, its all a little surreal, just like Monday's game at the Cottage is live here at 2pm, the 12pm kick offs are painful, 6 am Sunday morning..

Enjoying the arguments on here ....classic...

I feel violated when I think this **** was in charge of Liverpool.
