ROY Hodgson claims West Bromwich Albion’s hierarchy will be grateful for his summer-long pursuit of Shane Long, long after the manager has left the club.

The Albion boss feels the club secured a bargain - rather than an expensive signing - when they paid an initial fee of around £4million to Reading for the striker.

He has scored twice already, with Hodgson expecting more.

“I don’t think we can talk about big fees for people because we are still a Premier League club, along with 19 others so I find it hard to accept we paid a lot for him,” said Hodgson.

“We got Shane Long very cheaply in my view. There have been higher fees paid by this club. I think I have done a very good thing for the club.

“He wanted to work for me, which I’m flattered about, and I think I’ve done the club an enourmous service.

“There will be people thanking me for the signature of Shane Long, long after I’ve gone.

“He will go onto be an even better player who will score many goals.”

Posted on YNWA, in reference to the above article:

                      In that piece there were

                      - 8 references to himself (I or me)
                      - 4 references to Shane Long ( he or Shane Long)
                      - 3 references to the club
                      - 3 references to what a good job he did.

So, in a piece about Shane Long joining WBA, they are mentioned 7 times but Hodgey alone is referred to 8 times and decides to shower himself with praise on 3 different occassions.

Its always about him. People say Mourinho takes the attention to take pressure off his team (??) But Hodgey blames his team to take pressure off himself and ensures any good is thanks to him. He f***in loves himself.

                          Personal life
Hodgson is married to Sheila, with whom he has two sons, Christopher and Michael. He is known to be a fan of rock band The Rolling Stones. Hodgson is multilingual: in addition to his native English, he speaks fluent Norwegian, Swedish, Japanese, German and Italian, as well as some Danish, French and Finnish.

                          The above is from Wikipedia

I cannot believe he speaks so many languages fluently when he struggles with English

I'm telling you, he's actually trying his damn hardest to get the sack. Again.

Why go through the effort of working your contract for a number of years when you can shorten that period to 6 or 9 months?

                              He doesn't give a ****. £hing £hing
