This thread serves two purposes for me. One is the catharsis aspect.

Second is that the Bodge in some way assures me and provides me with confidence. You can be ****e at what you do over three decades and still be considered successful.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

      NO, HE WASN'T.

I'm successfully convincing myself it was all a horrible nightmare.

He made me not wanting us to score, it was that bad. In the last few months especially, when it had become apparent how galactically incompetent he was not only as a manager (which *could* have been forgiven!) but what a complete and utter abomination he was as a human being and the disdain with which he treated the whole club and what it stood and stands for, which is not only its beautiful and sometimes tragic history which spans from one end of the universe all the way to the other, but most of all the uniqueness of its fans. And how he - after having had had Rafa who died by the sword for us fans in light of the abhorrent owners and shed light on the whole truth of what really had been going on - repeatedly used it as an excuse for his own failings. Utter. Cunt.

Well put. I remember thinking it was alright if we'd lost and hoping it would hasten his exit. He survived about 3 months longer than he should have and that was solely due to the new owners finding their feet. And we were so **** to watch, even when we did win we had normally played so badly. And the ****e he used to spout post match... (well he still does just at West Brom). Hodgsons era was as close as I have ever come to giving up on football.

I will never forgive him for that.

Well done mate, nicely scripted to give us.... a cliffhanger...!!!

I'll be expecting a trailer for the next episode in around 3 days

Weirdly there are actually some aspects of this Roy Hodgson I quite like.

Love the reference to the Man City game. That was a dark, hour and a half of football, 11 v 11.
