Regardless of what most fans think of hodgson, im really pleased that our fans gave him a warm reception at Anfield today.

No matter how bad he was, it shows our class by applauding him.

I sit directly opposite the dugouts and didn't take my eye off Hodgson coming out of the tunnel. As he turned to face the bench, the paddock/main stand were all applauding and he clapped back and waved.

To be fair they were all clapping anyway, as you do when the players come out, so it was difficult to tell what the applause was for ....but Woy waved back anyway and it seemed good natured.

I was relieved really, no point in abusing him.
