Can't pretend I've ever watched Utd unless it's been against us but for England he was more guilty than most of playing hoof ball so far as I could see.

That's exactly why he was selected.

Don't expect to see him play at all unless England has some more serious injuries.

Still good experience for a young lad and will definitely make him hungrier to be selected next time on his own merit.

In fairness Richards should have been in the squad in the first place, but his attitude to the standby list has ultimately cost him a place. His loss is Kelly's gain though. Good experience for Kelly, I'm pleased for him.

I feel sorry for Kelly really, he's got called up to a squad basically down to the FA and the Bodge's gutless stance with the Terry/Ferdinand issue and that is not his problem 1 little bit.

I hope he makes the most of the experience as he deserves the call up simpy as others thought being on standby was beneath them and quite rightly have been ignored.

I am pretty sure he will.

It is one of biggest stages he'll ever be bar The World Cup and being there with other top players from other countries will definitely help him in his future development.

His head is firmly on his shoulders and I think he'll be able to use this experience to motivate himself to do even better next year in the league.
