Probably for the best, injuries have taken their toll and he's 24 years old and no further on with his career with us than he was 5 years ago. He needs to go somewhere where he will get regular games when he is fit.

Best of luck to him, has had appalling injury problems. Hopefully he can find some fitness and get some luck at Palace. Pulis is a great defensive manager, could be a good move for Kelly to improve his game.

Good luck Martin. I always thought he looked great going forward but was a little too big for a full back

It's a real shame as he looked such a prospect in his first couple of seasons. You also have to wonder what it's done to his mental state too.

If he can sort himself out then Palace have picked up a bargain.

          Good luck to the lad.

And the evidence for this is what? I don't see the queue of teams willing to bid £10m for him, can't even remember him being linked with any other teams while he's obviously been available. Without the injury issues obviously he'd have been worth loads more, but since he came back he doesn't look anywhere near good enough for our first team. 33 games in his career so far at his age is shocking, we've done him a favour letting him go for a relatively nominal fee, makes him worth somebody taking a risk on. Hope it works out for him.

Sad to see this lads going, showed real promise early on, another player who could have been brilliant without the injuries hampering his development.
Bob and I never had any rows. We didn't have any time for that. We had to plan where we were going to keep all the cups we won.

He was a powerful runner, but disappointing in the final 3rd. Wasn't suited as a FB in our system, but should work well for Pulis with less emphasis on attack.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

To be fair it's £2m PLUS add ons. I'd imagine given his injury record they wanted to be careful. We'll probably bump that fee a fair bit if he can stay fit and notch up appearances for them.

                    Chill out MrM, christ man!

The evidence is that he is young, a decent enough player and currently plays for the league runners up. If he was at UTD, he'd have gone for way more- they sell much better than we do.

We should have been looking at circa £3-4mill in my opinion, purely for the fact he's still got 6 years as a first teamer in him. No hard evidence to support me, juts my own feeling

Yeah, fee is probably going to rise up to around £12m (same as Moreno), as we know he's so good and has lots of potential.
                      Are we winning?

Hopefully that is the case and we have loaded the deal with loads of add ons based on appearances and a decent sell on fee, that would seem the sensible thing to have done given the circumstances.

An unfortunate end to Kelly's LFC career but sometimes you have to do right by the player. Getting any kind of fee of him with his injury record is good going and I do hope that we have some sell-on clause as he could still become a very good player if he can avoid any more serious injuries and get his head right.

Martin just needs to try and play footy something he patently wasn't going to be able to do here.

I'm just bored. I'll probably ask to be sacked.
