    arsenal's medical team

they're all played by ronald macdonald, aren't they? why have they always got an injury crisis? you'd think a forward thinking man such as arsene would be trying to figure out what they're doing wrong and make amends to keep his players fit. they're going to have to buy another center back now because they've only got 2 fit ones. what's the deal? why aren't they fixing it? i don't get it.

They seem to have a habit of buying injury prone players.

are they really that injury prone before they arrive? genuine question. if they are, you'd think he'd try and focus on his buying habits a bit more. if not, then back to square one with this thread really.

        That's a good question.

The obvious one who springs to mind is Rosicky. He was always made of diet candyfloss.

A lot of their injury prone players - Walcott, Van Persie, Clichy were brought to the club at a young age so it is difficult to judge.

Perhaps it is due to the type of player Wenger buys? The typical Arsenal player is fast, dynamic and atheltic. Pacy players, generally speaking, tend to be more injury prone.

I do agree that they do always seem to have an unusually high proportion of injured players.

        I blame the Hamburglar.

Are they all soft tissue injuries? If so, I'd suggest their style of play can't exactly be conducive to limiting them...

They do as has been said have a bunch of injury prone players though.

well and the another thing is that it seems to be center backs at the moment, which is not a position where you're used to seeing a lot of hamstring injuries and the like.

            robble robble.

Does Wenger overplay his kids?, questions were asked about Young Owen and Gerrard when they used to suffer many injuries, as kids, is it caused by overplaying them or maybe Arsenal play such good football, the only way to stop them is to boot them into row Z of the main Stand.

I think this must be a reason - you can see someone like Walcott for example picking up knocks and strains all the time.

It's all of Wenger's own making though for buying such players - when they were winning stuff they harder harder players in there to like Vieira, Adams, Petit etc... as well as flying wingers.
They will never win anything if they keep such a lightweight squad.
