Eddie Howe...destined for glory IMO. Great things achieved with Bournemouth on shoe-string budget.

    His stats: http://www.soccerbase.com/managers2.sd?managerid=2140

This are incredible stats if Bournemouth financial problems are taken into account.

Pleased to see Howe turn down the Palace job when he nailed on to leave Bournemouth. Done a great job there and he's very promising.

He was a good CB on Championship Manager a few years ago too.

This Eddie Howe guy, i had never heard of him till mentioned on here. A day or so after this thread was made, i heard him being mentioned on sky sports news and then i have been hearing about him on the radio over the last couple of days.
Seems that he came out and said he wont be leaving the club, but now has

                Oh dear!

Was just looking at some of the jizzing over Coyle on here, remarkable that some were suggesting him for us or Arsenal.

Look at his record in the Prem, it's ****e.

And O'Driscoll sacked the other day, although that did seem harsh.

Are there any decent up and coming managers at all?

                  Gus Poyet maybe.
                  Oh I don't know.

                    Roberto di Matteo?

Had a pretty decent record at both MK Dons and WBA.

                    Just checked his stats:

TEAM FROM TO GAMES WON DRAWN LOST
                    West Brom 30 Jun, 2009 06 Feb, 2011 83 40 19 24
                    MK Dons 03 Jul, 2008 30 Jun, 2009 52 27 11 14

Can remember everybody raving about Aidy (?) Boothroyd not so long back.

To be fair, if you're working your way up the leagues and learning your trade, stats might not be the best thing to benchmark a young manager. However, it would seem fair to assume they'll be from Glasgow.

But how much longer can he be considered this bright young thing? His record's crap.

This summer he bought Christopher Eagles , Darren Pratley, Tyrone Mears, Nigel Reo-Coker and Ngog.

That is a Hodgson-esque list of signings.

Think Bolton could be in trouble this season. Cahill seems to have mentally checked out, they no longer have Sturridge, Davies is about 33 now, woeful summer signings, a total inability to defend (countless hammerings under Coyle in the last few months, including 5-0 to Stoke, 0-5 v United + several more), their keeper is past it, they have that absolute clogger Paul Robinson in the side every week at full back...etc.

He also got Tuncay on loan which was decent business to be fair, but otherwise...aye it's pants. And he's playing Tuncay right wing I think.
